Graduate School Mission
The Graduate School of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is committed to promoting graduate education and research of the highest quality. The mission is to provide high-quality programs, foster intellectual development, and facilitate excellence in research and scholarly and creative activities.

SIUE offers more than 30 master’s degree programs plus specialist’s degrees, post-baccalaureate certificates and several cooperative doctoral programs. The Graduate School also is home to the University’s Office of Research and Projects — which provides information and assistance to SIUE faculty, staff, and graduate students for internal and external research support — and the Institute for Urban Research.
