<p class="MsoNormal" align="justify">This summit is being planned based on continued need for improvement in the education on pain management and palliative care provided by pharmacists.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>The provision of this care may be from any setting and encompass a wide range of scope of practice.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span> To effect change in the preparation of pharmacists to provide care to this population, the effort must be considered across a <a href="/id0904f67a805bf691">continuum</a> <!--StartFragment--><img alt="" src="http://www.siue.edu/eslc/img/pdficon_sm.gif" /><!--EndFragment-->.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span></p><ul type="disc"> <li>Schools / Colleges of Pharmacy</li> <li>Post-Graduate Residencies and Fellowships</li> <li>Practicing Pharmacists</li></ul><p>This summit will use a break-out style format. Summit participants may select desired workgroups upon registration. Each workgroup will have predefined goals and objectives. Recommendations from each workgroup will be presented in a plenary session at the conclusion of the summit.
