Web Survey Results Summary

  • The majority of the respondents completing the survey were undergraduates.
  • The most frequent use of our web site by respondents included locating books, journal articles, reserves, research guides and hours.
  • Over 90% of the respondents concurred the web site is easy to use. Some of the comments included the site is: “user-friendly,” “information is more easily accessible,” and “well organized.”
  • Most respondents commented they readily located what they needed. The majority of the comments discussed the ease of navigation. However, there were a few respondents who commented on the labeling under some of the drop-down menu choices as being a somewhat confusing.
  • Respondents liked the new design and layout of the web site. Many commented that it complimented the ease of use. Furthermore, the majority of respondents also commented on liking the quick links, menus, and navigation.
  • Suggestions for improvements included the brushing over of the drop-down menu; moving the library catalog up in the quick links and adding the advanced search functionality, developing help and/or research guides, including maps of the library in the quick link section, displaying hours of operation, and adding a help button
