Functions of the Committee</h3></div><blockquote> <div class="navMargin"> <p>A. The Committee is responsible for animals housed at all facilities and components of SIUE.</p> <p>B. To comply with Department of Health and Human Services Policy on the Humane Care of Laboratory Animals, the Committee meets semi-annually to inspect animal facilities and to record these meetings. It also reviews all protocols for the use of animals for research, instruction, and other activities.</p> <p>C. An Annual Report of Research Facility is filed with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the National Institute of Health signed jointly by the members of the Animal Care Committee.</p> </div></blockquote><div class="navMargin"> <h3>II.
