<p><img src="/id0904f67a804c8c21" alt="" width="151" height="386" align="right" />The School of Engineering at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is celebrating its ninth annual Open House on Saturday, March 24, 2012, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The Open House is for potential students, their parents, and the general public.</p>
<p>Guests will check-in at the Morris University Center (MUC) beginning at 8:00 AM. Dean Hasan Sevim and Associate Dean Cem Karacal will begin the morning with a presentation in the MUC Conference Center at 9:00 AM.</p>
<p>Guests will then be brought over, as a group, to the Engineering Building, where they will have the opportunity to attend informational sessions on our various engineering departments and programs, including: civil engineering, computer science, construction management, electrical and computer engineering, industrial and manufacturing engineering and mechanical engineering. Many faculty members, including department chairs will be available to answer any questions.</p>
<p>Current students will be in attendance to share their experiences at the School of Engineering. Student projects such as the Formula 1 Race Car, Solar Car, and Mini Baja will be displayed and team members will be on hand.</p>
<p>Prospective students and their parents will have the opportunity to tour the Engineering Building throughout the day. All of the laboratory and classroom facilities will be open with interactive laboratory demonstrations and exhibits. Guest may also sign up for an SIUE Campus tour, which begins at 1:00 pm.</p>
<p>We look forward to seeing you on March 24th. Lunch will be provided to all potential students. Free parking is available in Lot E, behind the Engineering Building. Directions to campus plus regional and campus maps can be found at <a href="http://www.siue.edu/maps">www.siue.edu/maps</a>.</p>
