<h3>How to Apply</h3>
<p>The opening date for the lottery will be announced on the School of Engineering main page as well as through an email sent to all engineering undergraduates' SIUE email addresses. Please do not submit your name before the list is open or after the request list has been closed.</p>
<p>Once the list is open, to enter your name for the request list, send an email with the subject line "Green Parking Pass" to <a href="mailto: green.permit@gmail.com">green.permit@gmail.com</a>. The email should contain only your first and last name and your student ID number.</p>

<p><strong>All students who are interested in a green parking permit should submit an individual request, including student organization officers or other reserved-status students.</strong></p>
<p>Because of the enormous volume of requests received, no one will receive a confirmation email, and a link to the list of the accepted students will be posted on the School of Engineering main page once the list is finalized.</p>
<p>Note: Please enter only one name per email, and please do not send multiple submissions as only the most recent entry and list number will be kept.</p>
<h3>Reserved Permits</h3>
<p>Reserved permits are only reserved until the names are due to student services in June. After that time, unclaimed permits are redistributed to the next names on the list. All students requesting a green pass need to add their names to the list. These categories of students are eligible for a reserved permit:</p>
<ul>
<li>Department Student Workers - Each department is allotted three passes for department student workers. Eligible workers' names will be submitted by their department secretary.</li>
<li>Student Organizations - Competing student groups not registered with Kimmel (such as the concrete canoe team) and student organizations that are recognized by Kimmel Leadership Center are allotted four passes for President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Names and ID numbers should be submitted via email by the organization's engineering faculty advisor.</li>
<li>Outstanding Juniors and Outstanding Seniors - Students who were chosen as outstanding students for the awards banquet are allotted a pass. The Dean's office has those names on file, and there is no need for the departments to resubmit the student's name.</li>
