Program for a concentration in Integrated Circuit (IC) Design for Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering:

 ECE Core Courses:

  •   Program core requirement specifies a minimum of one course from the following list:

     • ECE 532, ECE 539, ECE 552, ECE 563, ECE 572, ECE 574

IC Design Core courses:

  •   ECE 483:          Advanced Digital Systems Engineering

  •  ECE 484:          Digital VLSI Design

  •  ECE 584:          Analog CMOS Integrated Circuit Design

  •  ECE 585:          Mixed-signal VLSI Design

Take four or five of following (maximum of two out of department courses):

  •  ECE 426:          Radio Frequency Design

  •  ECE 428:          Analog Filter Design

  •  ECE 436:          Digital Signal Processing (DSP)

  •    ECE 437:          DSP Design Projects

  •    ECE 477:          Network Engineering

  •    ECE 482:          Microprocessor Systems

  •    ECE 532:          Applications of DSP

  •    ECE 577:          Advanced Network Engineering

  •    ECE 581:          High Performance Architectures I

  •    ECE 582           High Performance Architectures II

  •    ECE 591           Independent Study

  •    ECE 595:          Electrical Engineering Master's Project

Other courses of interest:

 

Students choosing the Thesis option need to take 6 hours of ECE 599!

For the non-thesis option, it is highly recommended that students take ECE 595.
