<h2>About the Construction Management Program</h2>
<p>The Construction Department offices are located in the Engineering Building on the western edge of the SIUE campus. The 129,000 square-foot state of the art building was completed in the spring of 2000, and contains smart classrooms, laboratory space, computer labs, an auditorium, and faculty offices.</p>
<h3>Mission Statement</h3>
<p>The Mission of the Department of Construction is to prepare its students to assume positions leading to increasing managerial responsibility in a wide variety of firms and agencies which plan and execute construction projects.</p>
<h3>Program Objective</h3>
<p>The objective of the Department of Construction is to provide graduates with the engineering and business knowledge and skills necessary to coordinate the multifaceted aspects of the construction industry.</p>

<li><strong>Strategic Goal #1</strong>—Academic programs - Maintain high standards of academic excellence in the construction management program that will attract well-qualified students and faculty, and meet the needs of the construction industry.</li>
<li><strong>Strategic Goal #2</strong>—Students - Enhance the quality of incoming students to produce graduates that are highly valued by industry, and qualified to pursue graduate study if desired.</li>
<li><strong>Strategic Goal #3</strong>—Faculty- Recruit and retain faculty known and respected not only for dedication to undergraduate instruction, but to the continued professional development of technical professionals in the St. Louis metropolitan area.</li>
<li><strong>Strategic Goal #4</strong>—Industry Outreach - Maintain effective outreach to alumni and the greater construction industry</li>

<h3>Accreditation</h3>
