Speech Language Pathology Advisement

Admission to Undergraduate Program

Undergraduate requirements to declare:

  • A 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • 42 hours of college level course work
  • Approval of admission from the program

Admission to the program:
Admission to the program is a competitive process and not all applicants will be admitted. Students must submit the following information to the program:

  • A 200-word self statement
  • A one-page resume
  • Transcripts
  • Application for Admission

 Applications for admission are accepted twice a year. Applications must be received by the 3rd week of Spring semester or by the 4th week of summer semester for the following Fall declaration.

In addition, Students must receive a B or better in SPPA 201 and grades of C or higher in all other course work required for the major including 12 hours in related areas:

  • Child Development
  • Biological Science
  • Physical Science
  • Statistics
