<h2>Clinical Experiences Overview</h2>
<br />Teacher education candidates at SIUE perform a variety of clinical field experiences as a part of the academic program leading to teacher certification. Those field experiences provide our students opportunities to link classroom knowledge with real world practice. Each major has a different set of pre-student teaching field experiences tailored to best meet the needs of the program. Each program, however, culminates with a semester long full time student teaching assignment. OCECA works with the requirements of the specific program to arrange suitable field experiences for the student in a local school district. SIUE works with approximately 60 districts (200 schools) in a 40 mile radius from campus.
