<h2>Required Health Insurance Coverage</h2>
<ul>
<li>Please submit proof of health insurance via fax or scan as soon as possible to avoid problems with registration.</li>
<li>Please submit details about your coverage <strong>in English</strong> or provide a translation with your documents if documents in English cannot be obtained.</li>
<li>Proof of adequate health insurance coverage in the United States must be submitted by <strong>July 15, for fall term</strong>. It is better if you can send it by June 15.</li>
<li> Proof of adequate health insurance coverage must be submitted <strong>December 15, for spring term</strong>. It is better for you and for us if you can send it by Nov. 15.</li>
<li>Health insurance documentation must clearly show the dates of coverage. You must be covered from the beginning of orientation until the end of finals for the semester you are here.</li>
<li>Failure to provide this proof will result in cancellation of currently enrolled courses; the student would then be in violation of the J-1 visa requirements.</li>
<li>Students who cannot provide coverage from home will be required to purchase health insurance at SIUE.</li>
