<body>&lt;h2&gt;Housing Application&lt;/h2&gt;&lt;ul&gt;    &lt;li&gt;You must complete after receiving your SIUE ID number from our office&lt;/li&gt;    &lt;li&gt;This is an interactive application&lt;/li&gt;    &lt;li&gt;Before you can apply, you must register for an account on the Housing website. Register here.&lt;/li&gt;    &lt;li&gt;You will receive a password via e-mail after you have registered. Use this password and the e-mail account you registered with to begin the housing application.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;The class status of undergraduate exchange students for application purposes is JUNIOR&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Please contact Cyndi Peterson with any questions&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You need a MasterCard or VISA Credit Card to pay the Housing deposit if you use the online Housing application. If you don't have a MasterCard or VISA, please contact Cyndi Peterson.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This $300 (USD) deposit is required when submitting the application for campus housing. The deposit consists of:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;$25 non-refundable application fee&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;$75 damage deposit, returned to the student upon leaving SIUE, provided no damage has been done to the apartment&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;$200 applied to the first month&amp;rsquo;s rental charge&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Please Note: There is an additional charge per day for accommodations occupied before the start of the contract period.&amp;nbsp; August 23 is the start of the fall contract.&amp;nbsp; Students who arrive for the Orientation before August 23 will be charged about $15-$20 per day, depending upon the type of room occupied.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Students leaving after fall term must vacate the apartment by Fri., Dec. 18, 2009, at noon.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Students may enter the United States up to thirty days before the beginning of the term.&amp;nbsp; However, SIUE is unable to provide housing accommodations, provide transportation upon arrival, or assist students who arrive before August 14 for the fall term.&amp;nbsp; Students may stay in the United States up to thirty days after the term ends.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;For your information, the School of Business International Program has a supply of bedding and kitchen utensils that exchange students may borrow while at SIUE. We offer this so you do not need to pack sheets, towels, or other household items.&lt;/p&gt;</body>
