Smart Classrooms
- Access to state-of-the-art technology is critical for today’s students, who have grown up with computers, video games, digital technology, and high speed Internet.
- Technology is an integral component of how current and future students learn.
- Cutting edge technology is crucial if SIUE is to effectively prepare students to be successful in the workforce.
- The College has made a financial commitment to convert classrooms to Smart Classrooms, but limited state dollars mean that only a few rooms can be renovated each year. There still is a long waiting list of CAS departments wanting and needing Smart Classroom technology to better serve their students and allow faculty to use the most advanced teaching techniques.
