Scholarships for students are needed across all 19 departments in the College of Arts and Sciences. However, they are particularly crucial in two specific areas: the arts and mass communications. An endowed scholarship of $200,000 provides interest to fund a full year (two semesters) of tuition for one student. Partial endowed scholarships begin at $15,000. Scholarships are especially needed in:
| Art and Design With nine distinct studio areas ranging from ceramics to textiles, plus additional programs in art education, history and therapy, Art and Design allows its students to explore many different avenues while developing their own distinct style and perspectives as artists. Student artwork is routinely featured throughout campus during special exhibits, senior assignment showings and programs such as Sculpture on Campus. The work of SIUE's Art and Design alumni receives national and international acclaim, and can be found in galleries and exhibits around the world. |
