Awards Received by Faculty: Dr. Beth Walton received a Meridian Award of $1200 to partially support her "Education Community Outreach Using Environmental Science GIS Modeling the Watershed Nature Center of Edwardsville, Illinois" project. The Meridian Society is an organization of women dedicated to supporting a variety of SIUE programs. (3/2010) | 
The mission of the Environmental Sciences Program is to cultivate the students' perspectives of environmental issues and provide students with refined knowledge of environmental issues at the local, regional, and global scale. The program will increase the student's technical competence in addressing these issues, their origins, ramifications, and resolutions. The Environmental Sciences Program at SIUE is interdisciplinary, and is designed to enhance and promote professional education and career opportunities in a wide area of interests. |
