Emily YorkEmily joined the SIUE Admission Counseling staff in August 2002. She is responsible for the administration and coordination of the Springboard to Success freshman registration program and also oversees the New Freshman Orientation and Convocation program. Other responsibilities include implementation of a transfer orientation program at SIUE and coordination of the STAR tour guide program.

Originally from McLeansboro, Illinois, but now living in Troy, Illinois, Emily earned a bachelor of science degree in mass communications from Southeast Missouri State University. She worked within Southeast’s Admissions Office throughout her undergraduate years and spent one year as a Southeast admission counselor before joining the SIUE team. Emily completed her master’s degree in speech communication at SIUE in August 2004.

Emily holds membership in the Illinois and Missouri Associations for College Admission Counseling and the National Orientation Directors Association.

Hobbies
Emily enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family, especially at the lake on the weekends.
