<p>The purpose of the SIUE Alumni Homecoming committee is to provide a Homecoming program that is a celebration of the spirit and traditions of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. The Alumni Spirit Homecoming committee is comprised of alumni representing the diversity of all SIUE graduates including gender, race, class year and affinity groups.</p>

The Alumni Spirit subcommittee will work in conjunction with the Student Spirit and Internal Spirit subcommittees to plan, support and implement the 2010 Homecoming events including:<br /><br />
<ul class="noindent">
<li>Alumni Tent at the Soccer Game</li>
<li>Alumni Hospitality Tent at the Club Football Game and Chili Cook-Off</li>
<li>SIUE Cougar Homecoming Festival and Alumni Reunion Row</li>
<li>SIUE Alumni Hall of Fame Awards Dinner</li>
</ul>
<p>The committee members' responsibilities include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Providing overall vision, direction and coordination of SIUE’s Homecoming celebration</li>
<li>Attending Homecoming committee planning meetings in February, April, June, August and September</li>
<li>Participating in committee decision-making and/or problem-solving on issues related to specific events or the overall planning process for Homecoming</li>
<li>Maintaining communication through e-mail and phone calls with Alumni Affairs staff and fellow committee members</li>
<li>Serving as publicity contact for designated class year and/or affinity group(s)</li>
<li>Serving as event volunteer during Homecoming 2010 activities</li>
<li>Attending 2010 Homecoming recap meeting to provide feedback and direction for the 2010 Homecoming celebration</li>
<li>Assisting with the recruitment of 2011 Homecoming committee members</li>
</ul>

The 2011 committee applications will be reviewed by the 2010 committee members. The 2011 committee members will be selected in November 2010 and the first committee meeting will be held in February 2011.<br /><br />
