<h2>About Events | <a href="/id0904f67a8039c265">Upcoming Events</a> | <a href="http://events.siue.edu/siuevents/">SIUE Events</a></h2><h3><br />About Events</h3><p>The Office of Alumni Affairs exists to involve alumni in the life of the University, to foster alumni support for the University's central purpose and direction, to maximize opportunities for alumni to maintain meaningful relationships with one another, and to support the Alumni Association.</p><p>We hope to structure these events to maximize the opportunity to network and have fun. We have traveled to San Francisco, taken alumni to see the Lion King, and filled 300 seats at Busch Stadium for a Cards/Cubs game as part of this effort. <a href="/id0904f67a803aa720">Click here</a> to see photos from our our latest events.</p><p>Homecoming and Springfest are the most visible ways in which alumni come together, but there are many other opportunities, both on campus and around the world. The alumni office also helps inform our alumni of event opportunities with other units on campus including <a href="/id0904f67a8039d6ce">SIUeDay</a>.</p> <p>You can also participate in the Alumni Association and with the University through <a href="/id0904f67a8055b8b4">volunteer opportunities</a>. You can help shape the lives of SIUE students and alumni by becoming a volunteer. Volunteers develop valuable contacts, gain new skills and meet a variety of people.<!--EndFragment--></p><p>We are always looking for new ways to connect alumni with each other as well as SIUE.
