The SIUE Women’s Basketball Club team won the NIRSA regional tournament at Kansas University in February. As a result, they earned a slot in the NIRSA National Championship tournament April 1-3 hosted by the University of Texas.
Dr. Nobby Emmanuel, Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, and Keith Becherer, 2004 MSED, Assistant Director of SIUE Campus Recreation, are traveling to the Austin area for the tournament. They will be hosting an alumni networking reception as part of the trip. They will be joined by one of the SIUE grads currently living in the Austin area, Mike Newhouse, 2004 MSED. This will be a great opportunity to meet fellow alumni living in the area as well as congratulate the members of the club basketball team!
