The National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center (NCERC) is located in University Park, a research park on the southern edge of the Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois. The Center is located, 20 miles from downtown Saint Louis, and 25 minutes from Lambert International Airport in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Saint Louis is the center of the Biobelt; home to the Donald Danforth Plant Sciences Center, the Missouri Botanical Garden, Monsanto, Washington University, the National Corn Growers Association, the United Soybean Association and numerous life science start up companies.
